About The Position
TriMas Packaging LLC is hiring an on-site Assembly Lead for its Auburn, Indiana location. This is an hourly, full-time, first-shift position scheduled from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., with weekend work. The role supports manufacturing production and distribution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of experience in a leadership role.
- Three to five years of Assembly experience through successful processing.
- Experience with lockout/tagout.
- Experience using calipers and indicating micrometers and reading inspection specifications.
- Hands-on experience with high-volume injection molding.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Troubleshooting ability.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Injection Molding, Assembly Tooling, and/or Maintenance.
- Previous Paulson Training.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe practices are followed daily and comply with safety procedures.
- Set up and start injection molding machines.
- Ensure injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and automated systems are set to regulation parameters, produce products that meet quality standards, and achieve production goals.
- Inspect products using calipers, optical comparators, and other testing methods and devices.
- Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventive maintenance, and document process changes.
- Help reduce material scrap to protect the environment and lower costs.
- Provide feedback on mold design and assist Tool and Die Makers in optimizing molds for cycle time and quality.
