About The Position

The Assembly Lead works on-site at TriMas Packaging LLC in Auburn, Indiana, on the third shift from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The role supports manufacturing production and distribution and is responsible for safe, efficient injection molding and assembly operations. The position ensures equipment and automated systems operate within regulation parameters, production meets quality standards and goals, and process issues are addressed. It also contributes to scrap reduction and works with Tool and Die Makers to optimize mold cycle time and quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One or more years in a leadership role.
Three to five years of Assembly through successful processing.
Experience with lockout/tagout.
Experience with calipers, indicating micrometers, and reading inspection specifications.
Hands-on experience with high-volume injection molding.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Troubleshooting ability.

Nice To Haves

Experience in injection molding, assembly tooling, and/or maintenance.
Previous Paulson Training.

Responsibilities

Follow daily safety practices and all safety procedures.
Ensure injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and associated automated systems are set to regulation parameters and produce products that meet quality standards and production goals.
Set up and start up molding machines.
Check products using calipers, optical comparators, and other testing methods and devices.
Monitor and troubleshoot processing problems.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks and document process changes.
Help reduce material scrap to protect the environment and reduce costs.
Provide feedback on mold design and assist Tool and Die Makers in optimizing molds for cycle time and quality.
