About The Position

This role involves performing day-to-day production activities using current procedures to maintain production schedules. The assembly technician will use various manufacturing equipment, including hand tools, spot welders, and microscopes, to assemble products according to detailed documented procedures. A key aspect of this role is ensuring accuracy and quality by following all policies, procedures, and drawings, and performing visual checks of products. The position requires identifying non-conforming parts and meeting manufacturing output requirements while maintaining high-quality standards. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision to achieve department goals. This position operates within an ultra-clean room environment, necessitating the use of specific attire such as bunny suits, finger cots, smocks, and gloves.

Requirements

  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, data entry, and email.
  • Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Consistent attendance record.
  • Ability to wear required PPE to fulfill shift duties: smock, hairnet, gloves, facemask, and safety glasses.
  • Ability to lift 3-5 lbs and complete repeat tasks.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work 12-hour, compressed work week schedule with flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Related manufacturing work experience of 1-3 years.
  • Ability to hold a Security Clearance.
