About The Position

This role involves operating and overseeing tube process stations and associated vacuum and electronic equipment to manufacture intensifier tube components. The position requires using hand tools to remove bolts, unload and reload systems without damaging fragile tubes or equipment, and performing routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Adherence to procedures and work instructions is essential, as is performing the exhaust process to meet quality and yield goals. The job also involves producing a quality product that meets customer specifications and maintaining sufficient inventory, as well as interpreting data from Analytical/Diagnostics equipment to make informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years prior experience, OR a 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree with 0-2 years prior experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance within 6 months of hire date.
  • Ability to work in an ultra-clean room environment using bunny suits, rubber finger cots, smocks, and rubber gloves.

Nice To Haves

  • Related manufacturing work experience of 1-3 years.
  • Ability to hold a Security Clearance.
  • Previous experience with ultra-high vacuum technology and/or semiconductor processing.
  • Ability to become familiar with Six Sigma problem solving tools, 5S+1, and Lean methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and oversee tube process stations and associated vacuum and electronic equipment to manufacture intensifier tube components.
  • Use hand tools to remove numerous stainless-steel bolts to access and remove finished products from the vacuum and electronic equipment.
  • Unload and reload systems without damaging fragile tubes or equipment.
  • Perform various routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Adhere to procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform the exhaust process on components to achieve quality and yield goals set by the department.
  • Produce a quality product that meets customer specifications and maintains sufficient inventory.
  • Interpret data from Analytical/Diagnostics equipment to make sound decisions based on relevant facts.
