About The Position

This role involves performing day-to-day production activities to meet production schedules. The assembly technician will use various tools and equipment, including hand tools, spot welders, and microscopes, to assemble products according to detailed procedures, blueprints, and work instructions. A key aspect of the role is ensuring product quality through visual checks and identifying non-conforming parts. The position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, data entry, and email.
  • Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment under minimal supervision.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of prior manufacturing related experience.
  • Ability to wear required PPE to fullfill shift duties: smock, hairnet, gloves, facemask, and safety glasses.
  • Ability to lift 3-5 lbs and complete repeat tasks.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day production activities using current procedures to maintain production schedules.
  • Use hand tools, spot welders, microscopes, and other manufacturing equipment to assemble products using detailed documented procedures.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and drawings for accuracy and quality.
  • Perform visual checks of product to assure quality.
  • Identify non-conforming parts following documented procedures.
  • Meet manufacturing output requirements while producing high quality products.
  • Work 12-hour, compressed work week schedule with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
