About The Position

The Assembler position involves assembling parts according to prints and process instructions using necessary tooling. This role requires performing basic math calculations, interpreting blueprints, and conducting first piece inspections. The assembler will also be responsible for accurate record-keeping, applying various hardware and bonding agents, creating top-level assemblies, and working with Engineering on process improvements. Additionally, the role includes marking parts, performing tests, ensuring lot traceability, and maintaining a safe work environment. Communication with team leaders and supervisors is essential. The position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs repetitively and may involve sitting, standing, or a combination of both for extended periods.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or assembly.
  • Ability to sit, stand or a combination of both over a 7.5 hr period or longer.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Candidate will not need sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles/80 kilometers) of the Location facility will be considered.

  • Previous manufacturing experience and/or assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts per prints and process instructions using necessary tooling.
  • Perform basic math calculations and interpret basic blueprints.
  • Perform first piece inspection on assigned jobs using visual or dimensional specifications with quality fixtures or measuring equipment.
  • Perform accurate wanding and other record keeping tasks as required.
  • Apply bonding, pads, springs, pins, fans and other assorted hardware per print using fixtures, tooling, hand and power tools.
  • Assemble parts per print using epoxy, solder, glue, silicon and other types of bonding agents per customer print.
  • Create top-level assembly using subcomponents made and purchased to the customer print.
  • Work with Engineering on new assembly processes, troubleshooting and improving procedures.
  • Mark parts according to customer specifications.
  • Perform necessary pressure and/or thermal testing as required per part.
  • Understand and adhere to lot traceability.
  • Maintain a safe clean working environment complying with all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain open communications with team leaders and supervisor.
