About The Position

The Assembler manually places and assembles components on circuit boards in accordance with visual aids, specifications, and workmanship standards. The role performs basic, standardized, and repetitive electronic assembly and labeling tasks, inspects component placement, and helps maintain parts and production records. The position works under direct, close supervision and follows company safety, security, and cleanliness procedures.

Requirements

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to operate a personal computer using a Windows-based operating system and related software.
Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil software packages.
Ability to write simple correspondence and read and understand visual aids.
Ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle standardized situations with few or no variables.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

Follow detailed verbal or written instructions, including visual aids.
Perform basic, standardized, and repetitive electronic assembly operations and label components, assemblies, or subassemblies.
Prepare and manually assemble inserted components according to visual aids after verifying specifications.
Visually inspect parts for proper insertion and placement.
Use a barcode scanner and small hand tools.
Ensure assemblies and components are handled and marked properly.
Accurately maintain progress reports and monitor and restock parts bins as required.
Maintain 5S order and cleanliness in the assigned area.
Follow applicable safety, health, and company security procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
