About The Position
At Wabash, Assemblers perform various tasks and are responsible for anything from installing and assembling subassemblies and component parts to operating rivet punchers to installing decals and much more.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Basic reading /writing/ & verbal skills
- Familiarity with the use of a tape measure and hand/power tools.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in manufacturing
- A high school diploma
Responsibilities
- Owning and assisting in improving our safety, quality, and delivery performance
- Keeping your work area organized and free of any potential work hazards
- Caulking materials
- Using power tools to measure and cut material
- Installing rivets
- Operating heavy machinery
- Installing truck bed flooring
- Following decal templates/ blueprints
- Installing signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated parts
- Performing additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Coordinator.
- Operating safely through wearing personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
- Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices.
