About The Position

Heads Up Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler to join our Manufacturing team. The Assembler plays a critical role in the assembly of high-quality lighting products through precision soldering, assembly, testing, and inspection activities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience assembling electronic components in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with through-hole and surface-mount soldering techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Proficiency using soldering tools, equipment, and inspection instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or vocational training in electronics, manufacturing, or soldering techniques.
  • Experience working in aerospace, aviation, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards.
  • Experience performing visual inspections and functional testing of electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise soldering of electronic components, including LEDs, resistors, capacitors, and related components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Follow assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and diagrams to ensure accurate component placement and product assembly.
  • Inspect and test soldered connections to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Operate assembly equipment and tools safely and efficiently while maintaining equipment readiness.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate production records, material usage documentation, and quality data.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
