About The Position

The Assembler candidates will be responsible for the installation of various parts and/or components onto John Deere construction and/or agricultural equipment for the purpose of custom applications such as dozers used in fighting forest fires, excavators for military applications, loaders for landfill or waste transfer stations and agricultural tractors outfitted for right-of-way mowing or power line maintenance.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year experience in related field.
Ability to read and interpret written and oral work instructions.
Ability to work independently using basic hand tools and air tools.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work alone or in a team concept in order to complete a project.
Agile with ability to work in awkward positions such as under machines, in tight areas of machines, on top of large machines or while standing on ladders or work platforms.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems found in heavy equipment.
Ability to work a full-time, 5-days per week 9-hours per shift with overtime as needed.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to provide necessary tools to perform the job duties.
Ability to demonstrate ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

Installation of manufactured kits onto new equipment.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures to ensure quality of installation.
Ability to follow manufacturer procedures for torquing bolts, hydraulic hoses and fittings.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
