Assembler/Tester - 2nd Shift

About The Position

The Assembler is primarily responsible for assembling several different water valve components using appropriate assembly techniques, with additional responsibility for secondary equipment and operations. The role also involves testing valves and accessories, completing production paperwork, and contributing to safety, quality, and production standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training.
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and report issues.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Assemble valves and subassemblies according to work instructions.
Test valves according to work instructions.
Test accessories, including motor actuators and cylinders, as required by specifications or special instructions.
Complete necessary paperwork, such as labor tickets and inspection sheets.
Meet production standards for assigned tasks within the required time.
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in the assigned space.
Perform assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements.
Maintain responsibility for safety and quality throughout production.
Notify a Production Lead or Supervisor when stepping off the line so safety and quality standards are maintained.
Report production waste and issues to a Production Lead or Supervisor.
Perform other duties as required by a Supervisor or Manager.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
