About The Position

As an Assembler III at Jabil, Inc., you will be responsible for advanced assembly tasks, ensuring the precise and efficient construction of complex electronic or mechanical products according to specifications and quality standards. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in complex assembly within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret detailed technical documentation (blueprints, schematics, work instructions).
  • Strong proficiency with various hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for assembly and component issues.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer proficiency for data entry and documentation.
  • Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions and cleanroom protocols if applicable.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.
  • Read and accurately interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with assembly processes or components, implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment and machinery used in the assembly process.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and other team members to resolve production challenges and improve processes.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Assembler I and II personnel as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Document assembly processes, material usage, and production output accurately.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
