Reporting to the Factory Supervisor the Assembler III Associate is responsible for sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process. Installs, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Includes Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles. This position is part of Production Operations and located in Hemet, CA and will be Onsite. In this role, a typical day will look like: Performs mechanical assembly of electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, mechanisms, and systems in accordance with production/engineering specifications, sketches and/or verbal instructions. Performs assembly work requiring a high degree of dexterity. Uses tools and fixtures for detailed locating and positioning of parts. Adjusts, aligns, and tightens using an air vise, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and drill presses. Drill presses currently only used in the WS Assembly line. Keeps track of inventory in work area, and notifies supervisor when material is needed. Identifies and replaces or reports defective subassemblies. Conducts simple go-no-go testing. Observes and follows all safety regulations and company policies. Operates powered industrial truck (forklift) to load and unload material. Observes and follows all safety regulations and company policies. Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work area. Maintains dedication to collaboration and a positive, encouraging demeanor towards all personnel. Performs duties as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals, and the company. Supports improvement activities (VES).

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent preferred
  • 2+ Years mechanical / electromechanical assembly
