Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, the Assembler III Associate is responsible for setting up and operating automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. This role involves monitoring meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. The Assembler III follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process. They are also responsible for installing, modifying, moving, troubleshooting, repairing, and dismantling machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation, layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings. This includes performing the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. The role involves assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies, or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. This position is part of Production Operations and is located in Hemet, CA, and will be Onsite. In this role, a typical day will involve performing mechanical assembly of electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, mechanisms, and systems in accordance with production/engineering specifications, sketches, and/or verbal instructions. This requires a high degree of dexterity and the use of tools and fixtures for detailed locating and positioning of parts. Adjustments, alignments, and tightening are performed using an air vise, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and drill presses (currently only used in the WS Assembly line). The associate will keep track of inventory in the work area and notify the supervisor when material is needed. They will identify and replace or report defective subassemblies and conduct simple go-no-go testing. The role also requires observing and following all safety regulations and company policies, operating a powered industrial truck (forklift) to load and unload material, maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area, and maintaining dedication to collaboration and a positive, encouraging demeanor towards all personnel. Duties will be performed as assigned to ensure the success of projects, individuals, and the company, including supporting improvement activities (VES).
