Under general supervision, this role assembles components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components, contributing to the completion of a variety of products. The position involves preparing and processing electrical and mechanical components for assigned product lines using fine motor skills, working from process work instructions and test procedures. The assembler will monitor and record related documentation to meet quality requirements, follow production build rates and schedules, and meet required cycle times. This role also interfaces with manufacturing systems using computers or other electronic devices, assembles cartons and containers, and prepares products for shipment in accordance with domestic, international, and/or customer specifications. A variety of tools may be used, including manual and power hand tools, pneumatic tools, test equipment, presses, and measuring and cutting devices. The assembler is responsible for set-ups, work preparation, clean up, and quality assurance of their own work and work area, and must meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends.
