About The Position

Join a company built on strength, stability, and innovation. Badger Meter is looking for dedicated assembly team members to help continue its tradition as a trusted leader in the industry. This is a first shift position at the Racine facility. The Assembler II is responsible for assembling parts according to specified Work Instructions and may be required to rotate throughout the facility in a variety of assembly tasks.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing desired
  • Work collaboratively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives.
  • Convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listen actively to others.
  • Take prompt action to accomplish work goals; take action to achieve results beyond what is required; be proactive.
  • Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components with precision and care
  • Ensure quality standards are met every step of the way
  • Contribute to a safe, collaborative, and supportive workplace
  • Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job and make adjustments when needed on your own.
  • Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work.
  • Take initiative to ensure priority items are completed and when needed seek out additional information from lead or Supervisor.
