About The Position

BAE Systems Inc. is seeking an Assembler I to join its production team at its Phoenix, Arizona facility. The role assembles components, assemblies, subassemblies, and kits according to written work instructions, work orders, process diagrams, illustrations, and drawings. The assembler uses provided tools and machinery, verifies and inspects products for conformance to requirements, and may disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• One year of work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with drawings and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components, assemblies, subassemblies, and kits according to written work instructions, process diagrams, and illustrations.
• Work from instructions and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand tools, power tools, and jigs.
• Use appropriate provided tools and machinery.
• Verify and inspect products to ensure they conform to requirements.
• Perform assembly operations using standard measuring tools and techniques, and follow work order instructions, policies, and procedures.
• Cross-train in other assembly positions as required and perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
• As required, disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
