About The Position

BAE Systems Inc. is seeking an Assembler I for its production team at its Phoenix, Arizona facility. The role involves assembling components, assemblies, subassemblies, and kits according to written work instructions, process diagrams, and illustrations. The assembler uses provided tools and machinery and works from instructions and drawings, making initial layouts and using hand or power tools and jigs. The position also verifies and inspects products for conformance with requirements and performs assembly operations using standard measuring tools and techniques while following work orders, policies, and procedures. The assembler may cross-train in other assembly positions and may disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies to specifications under simulated conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train in other assembly positions as required and perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
• As needed, disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
