About The Position

Ferrara/KME, part of Terex Corporation, manufactures fire trucks and emergency response vehicles, including pumpers, aerials, industrial, wildland, and rescue apparatus. The Assembler I installs and mounts electrical and nonelectrical interior and exterior components and hardware, assembles fabricated parts and units, and follows blueprints and engineering specifications. The role also involves checking that safety and manufacturing quality requirements are met and cleaning and inspecting products to meet quality standards.

Requirements

• Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements.
• Ability to use common hand tools and power tools, such as drills, screw guns, and caulk guns.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
• Successful completion of drug and background screening.
• Ability to operate and understand the operation of protective safety equipment in the area.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities
