About The Position

The Assembler I fits, aligns, fastens, tests, inspects, and packages parts and complete units. The role follows assembly drawings, process sheets, and standard work to perform operations consistently, safely, and efficiently. Assemblers use hand and air-powered tools, measuring instruments, and gauges, and maintain a clean and safe working environment. The position may involve learning to operate and make routine adjustments to various machines, and requires availability for daily and/or weekend overtime. The role requires safely lifting up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Fit, align, fasten, and package sheet metal parts, motors, electronics, and molded parts into subassemblies and complete units.
Visually inspect parts and units for fit and function; disassemble and rework nonconforming items as needed.
Test units for electrical continuity and functionality.
Package units in corrugated containers with shipping filler and apply all applicable labels.
Follow assembly drawings, process sheets, and standard work to perform assembly operations consistently, safely, and efficiently.
Use required hand and air-powered tools, measuring instruments, and gauges.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Participate in daily workplace organization, meetings, stretching, SQDC discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
