About The Position

American Emergency Vehicles (AEV), part of Terex Corporation, manufactures custom Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, and medium-duty ambulances. The Assembler I role supports production by assembling ambulance components, meeting safety and quality requirements, and helping coordinate daily work within the assigned department. The role also includes graphics-related work, such as preparing quotes and designing ambulance graphics, and working with dealers and customers.

Requirements

Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
Ability to use common hand tools and power tools, such as drills, screw guns, and caulk guns.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
Successful completion of drug and background screening.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Install and mount non-electrical and electrical interior and exterior components and hardware.
Assemble fabricated parts, components, and other units at work stations.
Read blueprints and engineering specifications.
Ensure safety requirements and manufacturing quality standards are met.
Clean and inspect products for quality standards.
Lead and assist personnel in completing daily production tasks.
Communicate tasks and instructions to work-cell personnel.
Meet minimum safety standards for the assigned department.
Become familiar with all aspects and processes of the assigned department.
Qualify for the highest-ranking job classification within the assigned department.
Ensure parts are ordered and processed through the system, and lead machine operators.
Coordinate interdepartmental communication to support timely receipt of products.
Prepare graphic quotes and design graphics for ambulances.
Work closely with dealers and customers.
