About The Position

The Assembler I is responsible for assembling basic mechanical and/or electrical assemblies, electrical panels, wire lists, and harnesses. The role works under the direction of a supervisor or work lead, with work delegated on a regular basis. The position requires access to or use of export-controlled technical data or technology regulated by ITAR or EAR. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience of 1–3 years in the industry.
• Ability to operate small power tools, other hand tools, and computerized high-pressure equipment.
• Ability to interact professionally with teammates and colleagues.
• Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, work overhead with arms, and sit or stand for several hours at a time.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) according to plant rules.
• Must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain required export authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Perform light assembly tasks using hand and power tools.
• Follow visual and written work instructions to complete assigned tasks within the allotted time.
• Accurately report shop-floor production data using a computer terminal and/or written reporting.
• Perform cycle counting of parts and material-handling duties as required.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
• Adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Support other projects and perform duties as assigned.
