About The Position

Mirion Technologies, a global leader in radiation safety, detection and measurement, is seeking an Assembler Apprentice to support the assembly, testing, and packaging of products. The role involves mechanical and electrical component assembly and functional testing, as well as packing and crating products. The apprentice will train with peers and interact with multiple internal departments.

The position is expected to support workplace safety and follow company policies and procedures, including the Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and Operational Framework. Employees are expected to promote Mirion (Conax Nuclear)’s Standard of Excellence and a culture of honesty and integrity, and to comply with applicable government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Duties may change at any time with or without notice.

The work requires light physical effort, frequent handling or moving of lightweight materials, regular sitting or standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds. The work environment generally has a medium noise level and exposure to environmental elements that are not present to a disagreeable extent.

Requirements

• Basic use of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to read and understand prints.
• Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure and scale.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Verbal and listening skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form.
• Ability to understand another person’s speech.
• Able to perform frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials and regularly sit or stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components.
• Perform mechanical and electrical functional testing.
• Pack and crate products.
• Train with peers and interface with multiple internal departments.
• Help ensure employees can return home safely at the end of the workday.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including the Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and Operational Framework.
