About The Position

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH’s South Central Division, supplies asphalt and construction services in Alabama and throughout the Southeastern U.S. The Asphalt Laborer performs a wide range of general laboring duties on road construction projects as part of a heavy highway or production crew. Duties include shoveling and raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, cleaning and stripping concrete forms, pouring and vibrating concrete, and maintaining good housekeeping and compliance with safety regulations. Experience working around asphalt and equipment-operating skills would be beneficial. Requirements

Be able to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds.
Be able to walk, stoop, squat, sit, and kneel.
Be capable of passing the required physical examination.
Know basic tools and their uses.
Have basic mathematical and measurement skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company standards.
Maintain a positive attitude.
