About The Position

Sparta Networking is hiring an Asphalt Distributor / Tack Truck Driver to operate an asphalt distributor truck, applying specialized emulsions to road surfaces ahead of the paving operation. This is a skilled, hands-on role that helps set the pace for the crew. You will drive and operate a distributor truck equipped with a spray tank, heating the material, setting the spray bars, and regulating flow to lay an even, uniform coat. You will run daily equipment checks, handle routine maintenance, and keep the operation moving safely and on schedule.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement and a clean MVR.
Minimum 1 year of CDL truck driving experience.
Proof of age over 18, identity, and right to work in the US.
Able to pass a drug screen.
Able to work outdoors in heat, humidity, dust, and loud conditions, with the stamina for long or odd hours.

Nice To Haves

N-tanker and X-hazmat endorsements.
Prior asphalt distributor or paving-crew experience.
Basic labor and hand-tool skills.

Responsibilities

Drive and operate the distributor truck to spray asphalt emulsions on road surfaces.
Connect hoses from storage tank to truck tank and fill the pressure tank.
Regulate the burner to heat the liquid and start the auxiliary pump.
Set spray bars to the required width and adjust height and flow for uniform distribution.
Monitor flow gauges, tachometer, and temperature to ensure an even coat.
Perform daily safety checks on oil, water, and fuel and inspect for leaks or damage before operation.
Handle daily maintenance and notify the supervisor when repairs are needed.
Work varying shifts based on project demands and assist with related crew tasks.
