This position with Duininck Texas offers the opportunity to join our paving crew and successfully operate a distributor that is used to apply tack to the surface being paved. Applicants must have an active and valid CDL Class A license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. This position will be working on a project at the Randolph Air Force base in San Antonio, TX and will therefore require additional security clearance to be on the base.

Requirements

Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up if you see unsafe behavior or conditions.
Understand basics of distributor mechanicals.
Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
CDL A with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
Current DOT health card.

Responsibilities

Operates distributor safely to apply tack according to paving specifications.
Prepares distributor and continuously monitors performance to achieve the required specifications for paving.
Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety.
Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that distributor is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication.
Reports to shop when distributor needs maintenance and repair.
Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.
Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.
Follows Supervisor’s instructions closely.
