About The Position

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and follows merchandising procedures. The associate prepares merchandise for the sales floor, participates in store recovery and cleanliness, supports shrink reduction and safety programs, and follows labor laws and company policies. Other duties may be assigned.

The starting pay range is USD $12.25 to $12.75 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The position is at Marshalls Store 0625, 1400 Av. Miramar - Suite D, Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
