About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics is hiring a full-time, school-based American Sign Language Interpreter in Charleston, South Carolina. The role supports students’ academic and functional success as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary pediatric team. Pay starts at $43 per hour. The position offers a consistent caseload, no weekends or holidays, and summers off. Full-time employees are offered year-round benefits. Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
• Provide interpretation in professional settings, including educational, medical, clinical, or office environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow professional ethical standards.
• Research subject matter in advance when technical or specialized terminology is involved.
• Use strong listening skills, memory retention, and clear expressive signing.
• Collaborate with staff and clients to ensure effective communication access.
• Take responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
