About The Position

The Art Therapist develops and delivers creative art therapy to assigned individuals, groups or families. Provides comprehensive art therapy assessment and treatment through active art making, creative processes, applied psychological theory, etc. to assist admitted patients in meeting treatment goals. Responsible for assessing the patient to determine psychosocial, developmental needs, facilitating expressive therapy-based education and adaptive coping strategies for patients.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in clinical pediatric healthcare/behavioral health.
• Master's Degree in Art Therapy.
• Basic Life Support HeartSaver & First Aid certification from American Heart Association.
• Provisional Registered Art Therapist (ATR-Provisional) licensure.

Nice To Haves

• ATR certification
• Non-Violent Crisis Prevention certification from Crisis Prevention Institute
