Parkland College
•Onsite

About The Position

The Art Studio Model is a temporary, on-campus, part-time appointment based in Champaign, Illinois, paying $18.00 per hour and scheduled for up to 19 hours per week. Work takes place during daytime or evening hours, depending on art course schedules. Class sessions last 2 hours and 45 minutes, and models are expected to work 3 to 4 times per month. Models pose nude for a college-level drawing class in which students study human anatomy and structure. Classes are held in a private studio classroom with approximately 20 enrolled students. Models must be comfortable performing as a live unclothed model and have full range of motion in the back and joints for the poses required by course objectives. Applicants must submit an online employment application, a cover letter, and a resume or CV. New hires must successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting. The check includes review of exclusionary offenses under the Illinois School Code and Title IV of the Higher Education Act. Candidates who are SURS annuitants must either not be annuitants or be willing to suspend their annuity upon employment, except those receiving an annuity under the Self-Managed Plan or by lump-sum payment. Work authorization sponsorship is not available, and Parkland College is not an E-Verify employer. AI tools may be used in portions of candidate review, but employment decisions are made by a person.
