About The Position

Filling Homes is a social ministry that provides a full range of services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Trinity Place is a community based art program and adult day program in Bryan, Ohio. We are currently seeking a creative and energetic person with a background in the creative arts who also has a commitment to providing quality life experiences for people with disabilities. Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• A degree in fine art or a minimum of two years of experience in applied Fine Arts.
• Must be willing to work with community members and businesses to develop community connections for artistis.
• Must have demonstrated ability to teach art to others
• Must be able to relate well with people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of creative art activities that meet the needs of the persons that are enrolled in our day program.
• Provide one-one-one and small group instruction in a variety of creative art mediums at the studio.
• Assist participants to discover their art interests and abilities.
• Utilize technology and adaptive equipment to support and enhance the creativity of the artists and increase independence of each person.
• Assist as needed in meeting the personal needs and daily living skills of individuals receiving art services.
• Helping artists envision new projects and assisting in learning new techniques.
• Assist with creating community connections for the artists to share their art in the community.
