Art Director, Motion Design

The job overview for the role of Motion Design Art Director at Hims & Hers Health, Inc. is to spearhead the translation of the brand's image into motion through the development and oversight of OLV TVCs. The Art Director will collaborate with shoot Art Directors to concept and guide the production of OLV TVCs, taking ownership of the post-production process including editing, motion graphics, and animation. They will be responsible for creating and designing storyboards, as well as providing direction for motion artists. The Art Director will work closely with a talented team of copywriters, producers, 3D artists, and video editors to create breakthrough creative.

Partner with animators and use an existing library of video footage to create/iterate on DR and OLV TVCs at a rapid pace

Design and direct motion graphics such as lower thirds, title cards, animated infographics, in-line with the brand art direction

Communicate a vision for a look and feel of a creative brief. Conceptual thinking is a must, we need someone who can problem solve and bring new ideas to the table

A strong ability to think narratively, concepting and building art direction with a video first approach

Ability to use data, insights and past creative iterations as an input for the creative process

Partner with a team of copywriters, ACDs, producers

• 5+ years of agency/in-house motion design experience
• 2+ years art direction experience
• In-depth understanding and experience with all motion design tools and software (Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• Excellent knowledge of best practices and current trends in motion design and video
• Experience in art direction for video (YouTube, TVC, Editorial)
• Exceptional design sensibility - art direction, typography, layout and strong understanding of creating beautiful visuals that meet business objectives.
• Extensive knowledge of Figma and Frame.io
