About The Position

The Humanities Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty in Art to grow our adjunct pool. Candidates may be needed to teach in one or more of the following courses: Digital Photography 1 and 2; History of Western Art 1, Art Appreciation, Basic Drawing, Basic Painting, Three-Dimensional Design, Ceramics 1 and 2; and Color Line and Design.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Art, with concentration depending on the course.
• Prior teaching experience at the college level.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to foster inclusion.
• Ability to promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.
• Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Art, including but not limited to: Digital Photography 1 and 2; History of Western Art 1, Art Appreciation, Basic Drawing, Basic Painting, Three-Dimensional Design, Ceramics 1 and 2; and Color Line and Design.
