About The Position

This is a Military Technician position with the 79th Sustainment Support Command, 850 Transportation Company, 365 Combat Sustainment Support Command, 321 Sustainment Brigade, 103 Expeditionary Sustainment Command located in Lyon, Mississippi. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the Unit Administrator Basic Course within 18 months of appointment.
  • This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the Unit Pay Administrator Course within 18 months of appointment.
  • One year of specialized experience which includes: Providing administrative assistance support in one or more of the following areas: training, medical readiness, personnel actions, financial actions, supply, or logistics, Coordinating logistical and training support with internal personnel and/or organizations and Preparing various written correspondence to be briefed to organizational personnel.
  • Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily administrative functions in support of the organization’s readiness program.
  • Provide guidance to personnel on changes to organizational regulations and directives.
  • Utilize various automation systems to identify financial management program deficiencies.
  • Analyze account report system to maintain inventory.
  • Coordinate training programs for personnel in accordance with organizational directives and guidance.
  • Manage the travel program for the organization.
  • Provide pay guidance to organizational personnel.
