About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to support a healthcare location in Tempe, Arizona. The officer will conduct routine and random armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security concerns and emergencies, and provide customer service and clear communication to clients, visitors, donors, and staff. The position requires an Armed Guard Card or license and work on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may need to be satisfied before employment.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, donors, visitors, and staff by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare facility.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas according to site-specific requirements.
Maintain accurate incident and activity documentation.
Carry and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific post orders.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
