Armed Security Officer | Beaufort County, SC (Ongoing Hiring)

Coastal Security Services•Okatie, SC

About The Position

Coastal Security Services, Inc. (CSSI) is continuously hiring Armed Security Officers for posts across Beaufort County, South Carolina—including Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, and Beaufort—and nearby Hardeeville. Most armed posts are on K–12 school campuses, with additional opportunities at hospitals, gated communities, and armed event details. This is an ongoing hiring posting rather than a single opening. Applicants who clear screening are placed when a post matches their license, location, and availability; cleared candidates who are not placed immediately remain on file for future openings. Officers provide a visible, professional armed presence at assigned sites, manage access and visitor screening, monitor security systems, patrol buildings and grounds, respond to incidents, support safety protocols, and submit reports through a mobile reporting system. School posts generally follow the school calendar, Monday through Friday during school hours, with occasional after-hours events. Hospital and community posts operate 24/7/365, with shifts and rotations determined by the site; shifts may be eight or 12 hours and include weekends. Candidates should provide their availability for matching to a post. Pay is set by the assigned site. Armed posts in the area start at $22.50 per hour, with higher rates at select sites. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours over 40 in a work week. CSSI offers no-cost training through its Training Academy and a growth path into site supervisor, field coordinator, and district leadership roles.
