About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring 15 experienced Armed Security Officers in Chattanooga, Tennessee (37415). This full-time role pays $26.00 per hour and offers a 40-hour-per-week schedule, Monday through Friday on the morning shift, with no weekends. The officer provides a visible, professional security presence to protect people and property.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old, or older if required by the state.
• Have at least three years of law enforcement, military, Military Police, or private armed security experience.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have excellent communication skills and be able to articulate and write clear, concise incident or situation reports.
• Be able to complete all range qualifications and functions.
• Have one of the following: a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an associate’s degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Preserve order and enforce rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees and assist where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors; secure ingress and egress points; and secure classified information.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances through written and verbal communication.
• Interact with the client and/or other security personnel regarding execution of orders when appropriate.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
