About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer Patrol in Longview, Texas, to safeguard a chemical/petrochemical facility. The officer will conduct armed patrols, maintain a visible security presence, monitor access points, and respond to security concerns while providing professional customer service and clear communication. The role follows site-specific procedures and works with site contacts and emergency responders as directed. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday and Saturday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The pay rate is $22.66 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law. The officer must participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while following site policies, access-control procedures, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility grounds, production areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and complete required reports in accordance with company and site policies.
