Requirements

  • A current armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, assisting with directions, badge verification, and/or other security-related support functions.
  • Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with personnel and guests, following post orders, and staying prepared to assist during medical and facility-related incidents.
