About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Route Driver in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations while observing for unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document entries, exits, incidents, and/or notable activities in accordance with post orders and reporting requirements.
• Support interactions with staff, visitors, and/or the public with professionalism while helping to deter unauthorized access, contraband concerns, and other security-related issues.
