Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help support restricted area access control in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site requirements, maintaining professionalism while helping to deter unauthorized activity and support security-related operations.
