As a Security Officer Driver for Armed Patrol in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant information to site leadership and/or public officials.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or permissions, and help to enforce site rules, restricted area requirements, and property control procedures.
  • Support emergency and routine operations by communicating with supervisors, law enforcement, and/or first responders, assisting with crowd or movement control, and following post orders for elevated situations.
