About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking experienced active or recently retired sworn law enforcement professionals and qualified off-duty officers to provide discreet, plainclothes armed protective security at a corporate technology campus in Culver City, California. Officers will protect employees, visitors, and assets while maintaining a professional presence and responding to security threats. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and compensation is $65.00–$70.00 per hour. Requirements

Hold an active, unexpired California BSIS Security Guard Registration (Security Guard Card).
Hold an active California BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit and qualification card.
Have a valid California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit or verified retired peace officer departmental CCW endorsement.
Complete two separate live-fire qualification shoots per year with a BSIS-certified instructor, for four shoots per two-year renewal cycle.
Hold active BSIS certification for any carried intermediate defensive tools, such as a Chemical Agent/Pepper Spray Certificate.
Be an actively serving sworn law enforcement officer, either full-time or off-duty in compliance with agency policy, or an honorably retired sworn law enforcement officer who separated or retired from a municipal, county, or state agency within the stated past-five-year period.
Provide official documentation demonstrating honorable separation or current good standing, with no pending administrative investigations, disciplinary terminations, or disqualifying internal affairs findings.
Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and strong observation skills.
Have excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making under pressure.
Be committed to confidentiality, customer service, and protecting life.

Responsibilities

Provide low-profile armed protective security and perimeter protection.
Conduct comprehensive campus patrols at least every two hours.
Monitor access points, sensitive areas, and suspicious activity.
Identify and report safety hazards and security vulnerabilities.
Respond to critical incidents and armed threats in accordance with BSIS regulations and company policies.
Apply de-escalation techniques and sound judgment to protect life.
Support security leadership during incidents and maintain professional customer service.
Submit incident reports within required timelines.
