About The Position

The Armed Security Guard secures the facility under established operating procedures and processes. This is a Full-Time position that will work NIGHTS 11PM to 7AM. The pay is $32.26 p/h, with H & W at $5.50 p/h, and a night shift differential of $1.00 p/h. After 6 months, 1 week of vacation is granted. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and union membership is a condition of employment ($42 per month). The role is contracted to provide "Life Safety" response, including "Active Shooter" situations, and enforce regulations to prevent security breaches.

Requirements

Must possess/obtain an active Florida State D & G license.
Must obtain with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.
Must Pass a background investigation.
Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET clearance, and be considered for a TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

Contracted to provide "Life Safety" response ("Active Shooter")
Enforce regulations designed to prevent security breaches
Respond to alarms, complaints, incidents, violations and suspicious activities.
Demonstrate the ability to take the appropriate action
Secure/safeguard crime scenes and preserve evidence
Perform crowd control as required
Perform personnel, vehicular and building facility checks
Provide First Aid and CPR as required
Complete all required reports, forms, and other documentation per established procedures
Staff post continuously and provide access control
Control access to restricted areas.
Report violations.
Direct and provide information to visitors
May operate x-ray machines, magnetometers, hand-held wands and screen packages
Safeguard all assets
Provide assistance as required
Escort persons and equipment as needed
Conduct foot/vehicle patrols as required
Monitor unusual situations/conditions through personal or electronic surveillance.
Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOPs
