About The Position

Shields Point LLC is hiring full-time Armed Guards to support the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) Protective Services Contract in Phoenix, Arizona. Armed Guards maintain safety and security protocols and safeguard personnel, property, and assets within designated premises. The position includes 8- or 12-hour shifts on days, nights, and weekends. Pay is $20.05 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Able to pass a medical examination, drug screen, and federal background investigation when required.
• Must have any two or a reasonable combination of the following: three years of experience in the security industry, military, or law enforcement; an associate degree or completion of 24 college credits; active, retired, or honorably discharged service in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard, or Reserve; graduation from a law enforcement basic academy.
• When required, successfully complete all training, including firearms qualifications, pepper spray, CPR, First Aid, and expandable baton.
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and comprehending English.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts.
• State Guard License required.
• State Driver License required.

• Write reports.
• Protect government personnel and property.
• Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Communicate professionally with the customer, employees, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as directed.
