About The Position

The Armed Protection Specialist maintains a safe and secure environment for restaurant guests, employees, vendors, and property. The role provides a visible deterrent to criminal activity while delivering exceptional customer service and helping maintain a welcoming atmosphere. The specialist monitors activity, enforces property rules, responds to incidents, and helps maintain order during business operations. This is a part-time, as-needed shift-coverage position in Silver Spring, Maryland. The schedule is Thursday through Saturday, 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Compensation is $25–$30. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Active Maryland Security Guard Certification.
Active Maryland Wear and Carry Permit.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Good vision, hearing, and physical fitness to respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

Conduct armed security patrols of assigned properties and facilities.
Monitor and protect client assets, personnel, and visitors.
Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other criminal activities.
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
Investigate and document incidents, accidents, and suspicious activities.
Enforce client policies, site procedures, and security protocols.
Control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, and visitor authorization.
Assist with emergency evacuations, medical emergencies, and crisis situations.
Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when necessary.
Maintain radio communication and remain alert throughout the assigned shift.
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional interactions with clients, visitors, and employees.
Safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Maintain a professional appearance, adhere to company policies, and complete assigned training requirements.
