About The Position

We are seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates with Active/Retired Law Enforcement or Armed Security experience. In the Crew Protection role, you will be responsible for reporting to Maywood IL for standby assignment to ComEd Crew protection. You will provide escort via company vehicle or respond to locations where ComEd crews are providing work. You will be responsible for ‘checking in’ and providing updates via provided cell phone to ComEd and Company dispatch, ensuring timely, accurate responses to incidents. Shifts are 12 hours, 5:30 am-5:30 pm and 5:30 pm-5:30 am. Must be available for a minimum of 2 shifts (24 hours) per week, with more hours available on a weekly basis. All sites consist of outdoor posts that may involve working in inclement weather conditions.

Requirements

• Must be an active certified Illinois Police Officer or Law Enforcement Officer, in good standing with employed Department(s) or an active PERC license holder with active FOID and 20hr armed course completed (requalification in 2025 required as well if course was completed in previous years)
• For IL Police/L.E. Officers must be able to provide (VE-PEC) verification of employment as Peace Officer documentation from employed Department(s)
• Must have ability to maintain composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
• Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., cell phone).
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Clear, calm, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Accurate log keeping and procedural adherence are essential.
