About The Position

The Arena Usher assists guests at entertainment events by collecting admission tickets or passes, distributing programs, helping guests find their seats, and answering questions about the facility and its offerings. The role also provides general information about the property and its venues, supports proper seating and compliance with late-seating policies, and helps resolve guest seating and ticketing situations. This is an on-call position with varied shifts; the employee is required to accept 25% of offered shifts within 60 days.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk, including on stairs, for extended periods.
• Ability to bend and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to quickly read and interpret information printed on event tickets.
• Ability to assist guests in wheelchairs.
• Must remain alert and be able to think and act quickly and appropriately in an emergency.
• Must accept 25% of offered shifts within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Collect admission tickets or passes.
• Distribute event programs.
• Assist guests in finding seats and provide general seating assistance.
• Answer questions about the facility, its offerings, the property, and its venues.
• Ensure guests are properly seated and late-seating policies are followed.
• Assist with guest seating and ticketing situations.
• Assist with enforcement of the camera and tape policy for each event.
• Alert management to guests’ special needs or emergency situations.
