About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Area Vice President to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing operations within an assigned area, ensuring top-quality pet care and exceptional customer service. The Area Vice President will lead growth plans, analyze financial reports, and drive revenue initiatives while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. A strong emphasis is placed on cultivating a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Must be a pet fanatic.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in scheduling, including availability during evenings and weekends for emergency on-call support.
  • Exceptional leadership and organizational acumen.
  • Proficiency in articulating verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passionate affinity for animals, exuding an enthusiastic and caring demeanor, with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.
  • Proficiency in task prioritization and delegation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience in problem-solving, exercising sound judgment, maintaining confidentiality, and interacting professionally with co-workers, clients, and the public.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a multi-unit environment within the pet and vet industry.
  • Must frequently lift 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to handle frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions.

Responsibilities

  • Live and model the mission, vision, culture, and policies of Destination Pet.
  • Ensure all centers provide top quality care and exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives to drive revenue.
  • Lead center/practice growth plans and MBRs with District Directors.
  • Analyze and utilize financial reports and statistics from each district.
  • Celebrate achievements and identify revenue growth opportunities.
  • Analyze and deliver results of operational processes impacting center success.
  • Oversee the district team to identify and execute additional revenue driving initiatives.
  • Ensure completion of yearly inventory.
  • Reinforce Destination Pet’s training, safety, and service programs.
  • Ensure center compliance with federal and local labor laws (DEA, EEOC, ADA, Fair Labor Practices, radiation safety, OSHA, HAZMAT, etc.).
  • Implement one-on-one cadences for individual growth plans and management development.
  • Monitor and assist with safety, emergency, and crisis situations in partnership with management and safety leadership.
  • Cultivate a pervasive culture of safety.
  • Embrace and execute additional responsibilities as needed.
