About The Position

Neighborly, a hub of service brands connecting customers to local experts for home and business repair, maintenance, and enhancement, is seeking a Vice President of Operations. With over 40 years of experience, Neighborly is focused on strategic innovation and building the future of home and business services. This role offers an opportunity to bring strong leadership, project management, and business acumen to manage a team effectively and deliver high-quality operational support. The Vice President of Operations will support the President in business development, operations, and promotion, assist in executing plans and budgets, and develop procedures for information flow between the company and franchisees. The role involves hiring, developing, and overseeing staff, monitoring franchisees' financial health, organizing regional meetings and training, and establishing operating policies to enhance brand uniqueness.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) plus years of relevant business, industry, or system experience providing the necessary skills for executive leadership.
  • Proven ability to build strong professional relationships.
  • Skilled at motivating teams to exceed performance standards.
  • Clear, precise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting P&Ls, balance sheets, and business law.
  • Balanced approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated track record of setting and achieving goals.
  • Enthusiastic learner with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Strong leadership skills and sharp business acumen
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.)

Responsibilities

  • Support the President in the development, operation, and promotion of the Company’s business and brand.
  • Assist in executing short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on corporate goals and growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure information flow between the company and franchisees, including updates on system changes and upcoming events.
  • Hire, develop, and oversee the staff of Franchise Business Coaches and other assigned support personnel.
  • Monitor franchisees’ financial health, assist in developing their annual budgets, and ensure compliance with the Franchise Agreement and FDD.
  • Organize and lead regional meetings and staff training sessions, including monthly basic training for new franchisees.
  • Establish operating policies to enhance the uniqueness of the brand system and evaluate new service or product offerings.
